The system keeps getting more complicated. Have 3 additional pumps ordered. Hoping they arrive before this next 4 day weekend. I have noticed some growers from Europe have been using EC instead of TDS. When trying to convert the numbers, I found out that the standard that USA growers use,TDS,is meter dependent based on which conversion factor the meter uses. To avoid confusion I am going to adopt the European EC. One week from germination the hydro tomatoes still look healthy. The are currently being fed nutrient solution at .74 EC. This weekend will slowly start to raise the levels. Have started charting to track levels of not only NPK but also all the minors. Soon I will be looking for a lab that will test nutrient solution for a reasonable price. It would be educational to test the nutrient solution at the start and after 2 weeks to see what the plants are actually consuming.
