I had the same thing happening with my last pollinated one. It was only a few days post pollination when it got really hot and humid. The earlier pollinations dried out fine. After seeing your post I went out and cut it off, sprayed with alcohol and put a fan on it.

I've snapped them off by hand before (usually on purpose), but most times I use my knife. I use a paintbrush to put some Daconil (chlorothalonil) on at full strength on the wound.
