Carefully take a fillet knife in that split and draw it back toward the vine. Not a guarantee but I've had it work for me.

My opinion,like Andy said. Take a fillet knife and slowly slice back towards the main vine about 1.5". Keep the slice with the grain. And monitor it it should give that pumpkin some relief. Your going to be getting into bigger gains best to do it now. It should last ya. Keep an eye on the other side of the stem too. You might see if starting to do the same. Best of luck. I like this seed.

On my 2252 I slit the stem as well about 1/2 inch going with the fibers. The slit on the pumpkin also ran with the crack. Also, placed an aquariam air pump tube right inside the crack/stem to keep it dry. Ran it for about 2 months. Ruben does this all the time.

I had this last year and rot. I had to carve it out, but that area is surprisingly thick before it gets into the cavity. Keep that fan on it!
