I've been reading a bit about using yeast, sugar and water as a drench around garden plants and I'm curious how it would benefit giant pumpkin plants. Has anyone ever tried it and how did it work if at all. Thank you.

Sounds like a recipe for booze. I have heard of sugar used in agriculture.
