Been away for 16 days, returned last weekend, and finally found some time for taking some pics today. Oh well, 14 consecutive days of our absence had been without any rain (but warm and sunny weather). Fortunately, a friend looked after the garden and did some can watering 5 times, which kept the other plants alive, but the pumpkin plants...well...they are still alive and show only minor signs of stress, but the lack of water certainly prevented them from accelerating their babies toward maximum pace (which should have happened during that DAP 30 - 45 phase). There will be some big squash, but there won't be PBs this year. Here is my kids' 1007.5*, a fruit with nice color and decent shape...and a big blossom nub.
