The rainstorm yesterday and drop in temps had an impact on the growth of the pumpkins. They were jumping up pretty good from 12 to 13 to 18 to 22 pounds on the 2181. Last night the 2181 dropped a pound down to 21 and the 2070 Lopresti dropped 5 pounds which I was a bit shocked about considering it jumped up 6 pounds the night before. Big rain storms and the drop in temps really play a massive role with these. Much warmer weather is coming for about a week starting tomorrow so I expect them to ramp back up as they are still young. I continue to push these plants harder than previous years so I don't see why I shouldn't see 30+ pound gains. Let's see if I can hit it over the next week before the temps take a big drop mid August unfortunately. 2181 25 days old today estimated at 143 pounds.
