GPC Judge Training Module
After I received an e-mail concerning the above subject I contacted 3 growers/GPC Officials that collect weigh off data at their weigh offs and upload that data to this website for GPC use if they were aware of the new requirement and asked have they or their representative successfully completed the module and become certified. None of them were aware of this requirement. I personally, thou not required, wanted to "Check Out Training Module" but could not unless I created an account with the GPC to take the module. This leads to two problems, first are sites required to certify that they have someone that has completed the module and become certified before they register their site with the GPC and send registration fees for their weigh off? Second, why does one have to have an account with the GPC website to view and test their knowledge by taking the module to test their own, personal knowledge. We all understand the importance of having knowledgeable growers judge the weigh offs, that is not my point. However the lack of communication between the GPC and the weigh off sites/responsible growers that upload data to this web site for the GPC use needs to be immediately addressed as the deadline to register sites WAS 1 May 2026.I received the e=mail about this requirement on 22 May 2026 directly from the GPC.
