My Triamble squash plant just kept sprouting leaves at the stump so when I went to cut them all off I left this one on. About a month ago I left the sprouts from the stumps grow on all of my plants grow for a while in hopes of avoiding foaming stumps. I discovered that when I let them grow most of the sprouts ribbon vined. This happened on my Triamble squash plant as well as my AG plants. None of my plants displayed this anywhere else on the plant. This leads me to believe that the flat/ribbon vine trait is present in all cucurbita and is triggered by enviromental factors. Such as a plant with too much energy and no where to go with it. Like Bruce Banner turning into the Hulk.Or a giant squash?
