Meanwhile....my "normal" pumpkins. Over here in Europe they're called "The Big Yellow from Paris". I randomly put about 20 seeds in the soil of a chicken coop which was emptied by a fox in february. Didn't think they would come up in the layer of chicken manure which normally is far too sharp to grow anything in it. But three came up and survived. It was a real explosion of leaves and flowers. Currently there are three pumpkins still getting bigger. .At least one good thing came out of the fox' visit......
What do you call this sort of pumpkin in the US/Canada? Grows rather big and always stays yellow.
