These are shots of the largest pumpkin ever grown. Unfortunately there was a whole in it that went all the way through to the cavity. This disqualified the pumpkin for competition. But it is a mammoth achievement nonetheless!

The 1458 developed a small pin hole at the blossum end on August 23rd. On that day, Bruce patched it with wax and let it continue it's growth of over 20lbs a day. His thoughts were to keep an eye on it and see just how big it would get. On Sept 7th Bruce noticed a small crack developing in the rib... It's time had come to be weighed.
