Ok, there are a Lot of gardeners out there. Please, for my own fetish, rate BigPumpkins.com, with 10 being high and low being 0. Your honest input is appreciated. (Sorry, I have a little time on my hands.) LOL

10 would suggest there is no room for improvement. Yet Ken told us on the SpyTour that the planned enhancements are moving forward. Maybe he should scrap the improvements?
I'll give the website an 8. I'll give the people on it a 10.

Yes, family orientated is boring... And the sites not that fancy, but it works. The forum is kinda lacking but the other parts of this site are cool.

Some site suggestions:
Hide email option. Some hitters don't post here because they get innundated with seed requests & technical questions. Several have had to change email addresses because of this.
We could use an advanced search feature so we can search for an exact phrase & the option to filter out certain words. (Google-esque) Lots of important information here & yet the same questions arise even days apart. Laziness is part of it, but better search would help.
The "how to" section needs work.
Links could be broken down by subject to include specific areas like "growers assoc's". Then a Tech. area with links to the OSU fact sheet series.
Perhaps a soil calculator to "see" the impact of adding certain soil amendments to a soil once the grower has input the results of their own test. This could be saved in a password protected personal folder or left open for public veiwing depending on the wishes of the grower.
Edit your own diary feature (delete entry only).
Veiw diary in from either chronological order option.
Live link option on the message boards.
But please, please, please no bouncing smiles. LOL

Wow, thanks for the nice ratings, kind words and good suggestions.
The biggest change in the coming upgrade is a completely new message board. Many of the suggestions listed here are covered.

How about an FAQ?

An FAQ would eliminate many questions asked in the message board, I would think, like how much water to use, etc...
