Hey Guys great job on this site...Also growing a 625 D. I didn't find this site until to late last year. I find reading old posts very informative for answering alot of questions a newcomer would have. Unless I'm doing something wrong it takes a lot of clicking to get to this time last year to see what is about to happen to me this year. How about a "this time last year button". That would bring us there to read the posts. Amswers alot of questions and now that I read them I would like to know how the people made out with the replies. If they worked or not....Hey bruiser did that one with the early split grow the 636 uow or get culled. thanks guys for the great job!

I agree, currently this would be tough to do in the message board section of the site.
You should be able to do this easily in the diary section though.
How about this for an idea. BigPumpkins.com CD-Roms, a volume for every calander year. Just a thought we were kicking around. We have been online since 1999. At some point we will need to purge old stuff to keep the site a manageable size.
If we were to offer something like that, what kind of interest would there be for it?
Thanks,
John

What about transferring sites into archives that can be downloaded? I use WebZIP from www.spidersoft.com to store web sites with much content on my harddisk. You can browse through a table of content as well as you have a full-text search tool later on. I´ve tried it with the message board section here on BP and it worked great because it turned any ASP related link into a html page of its own. The archives can be distributed later on as ZIP-files. Since the message board is text related, files should be small, for the diaries of course bigger.

I think the CDs would be an excellent addition. Downloading takes too much time in my opinion...Tom

If the CD's could be indexed by month I could see that. Nobody can store all the info indefinitely.(is that a word) but would love to see a couple of years stay active. This time last year I believe we all were complaining about the cold weather....take a look!
