I am still fairly new to giant pumpkin growing and do a lot of searches on this site in an attempt to mine the wealth of information stored here. Would it be possible to modify the search function slightly? For example, I want to know what affect the use of systemic fungicides will have on a plant at or near the time of pollination. If I do a search on systemics I get results, if I do a search on pollination I get results, but if I do a search on systemic and pollination I get no results. Now, just to be clear, I am very happy with this site and feel very fortunate to be able to search it and learn as much as I have. If the change I'm suggesting is difficult or expensive don't do it, I just thought I'd throw the idea out there to see what you think. Thank you!

That is a very nice way of saying the Search feature is pathetic. And it is. LOL

I just tried something.......type the following exactly as I do here without the quotes "systemic and pollination"
I'm no computer wiz but I think this is boolean logic & it seems to work in this search engine. Try it.
You will get one hit and it will be this thread. Maybe you are the first person to ever ask this question.

Another possibility would be to do an Advanced Google search for this domain only for those two words. I think I got something like eight results that way.

Thanks Rich. That works! If you click on cached it will even highlight the words your looking for.

Or if you use the google toolbar, it'll highlight things for you without having to look at the cached page (which may not be as up to date or as pretty as the live page, but will sometimes contain information that the live page no longer has available).

Bumping this to the top. Using the advanced Google search is a great way to overcome shortcomings of the BP search feature. Just wanted to make sure people saw this again as it had been dormant almost a year now.
