Nick, I’m not sure what Matt’s did. When the blossom end rolls way under & it keeps growing from that end the new growth has to go somewhere. The weight of the pumpkin is too much for the new growth to push upward, so it grows up into a dome shape. Eventually there is no more room for it to grow then it folds and it breaks itself. This shape of a pumpkin is a time bomb.
