Hi everyone ,
Despite rigorous fungicide application , last week noticed small brown spots on a good portion of my pumpkin . Each spot about the size of pencil eraser . Wiped with bleach solution, then covered with straight dacronil.
A week later , spots have increased in size some , but they remain firm and not soft . I have not dug into any of them to see whether there is any rot underneath .
Anything I can do to halt their progress , would really like to get this pumpkin to one of the New York weigh offs in two or three weeks .

Hi...the pics in your diary do not seem to show disease especially if they arent turning soft...looks like pigment spots showing through. Ive had pumpkins do that. If its staying solid I think your fine.

Just remember to wash off the fungacide before the weighoff.

They never have thought of a double/triple clipboard on a computer - One shot is all you get!
So, in re-typing, I had something similar to this on my 412.5 from 2021, which was a 1317 Clementz that was poll'd by the 1985 Miller in the end (lol) and the fruit did not rot nor were the seeds henceforth any problem. Probably would be if another month had to go by. Good Luck. Eric G

The brown spots don't appear to be an issue but if another infection hits it will spread really fast. I had it on two pumpkins for 2-3 weeks without an issue some other disease hit those areas and the rot spread really quickly within those areas.
