Here are links to a story plus the study that was done. In the story he mentions seeds and in the study seedlings. i am wondering if the seeds were germinated (in dirt?) using this plus exposing the seedlings for several days afterward.
Would this be of any value to the giant growing hobby as in the size of fruit?

Treatment has to be done in the dark (after germination, prior to emergence). I'm not sure there's a benefit to extended treatment once exposed to light.

There's a few of us testing it out. We'll see if there are any long term effects, good or bad.

That's interesting! If I had grown those two plants I would have assumed a grub or water mold was affecting the roots of the one on the left. Ps this reminds me of what bigmoon posted about the stressed eucalyptus seedlings performing better later on. Lots of new stuff to try.

Wow, this really goes at my preconceived biases. I have always been completely uninterested in the germination rituals that many growers practice every year when germinating their seeds. Too me it was like evaluating and overanalyzing the first step someone took in the start of a marathon. Once again I am humbled by the amazing complexity of natural processes. Thanks for sharing this spudder. Andy you are on top of it. I am super impressed.

How are you introducing the Ethelyne? This is fascinating.
