Seeds that are 43 & 44 years old from back in the beginnings of pumpkin time and grown by "the man" himself?
Dill's Atlantic Giant: Seeds from Howard's 1981 WR 493.5 and 1980 WR 459

Yes, Danny Dill has donated those famous seeds as prizes.
Each prize package has something from Danny Dill.

Correct this all just came about recently, when I reached out to Ken regarding a couple other topics, where upon he told me about this exciting growers diary contest he had planned. So I thought why not throw a few unique items from the Dill farm such as Howard's original WR seeds a grower may like to have as a keepsake. Cheers! Danny

Interesting question posed about "growing that baby"? See what I have to spare and throw in extra one or two if the 3rd place winner wants to give it a shot? And hey could be a few other old time relic seeds tossed in from growers back in the day? Should be an exciting season for Growers' Diaries!

Ken if you have AG seeds genetically resisted to squirrels and mice, you might be sitting on a gold mine there? Just think how much $ growers will save on traps and so forth. Just cross them with some of todays hot seeds and look out! LOL

Ha good one Eric, I would if I could. But the 810 all used up years ago. It was our "go to orange seed" back in the day!

Dont underestimate the power of the pumpkin seed. I had a 500 wallace seed that germed in 3 days, was 13 years old. Still have one left. It was a strong plant straight out of the gate...but I killed it in the patch, had a split issue, but the possibilities....... Ill bet some of those old Dill seeds germ, which is way cool. Good Luck ALL, and Thanks Danny for your continued energy, hope to see you in Green Bay in March 2025

Right on Gary thanks! PUMPKIN POWER and thanks to you and so many other great dedicated growers/volunteers have brought this past time to levels beyond anyone's imagination. Honestly Dad and many other old time past great growers would be absolutely amazed as to how far this has literally grown. It's been a long time since a convention for me but ya never know?
