We recently posted a warning to auctioneers- based on information we had at the time including no 2-way email contact, time passed since auction, and unresponsiveness-
that 3 growers had won lots in our auction with no intention to pay. Their emails were found in our spam folder- and we want all auctions to welcome James Yikes, MoPumpkins, and DaPete as good customers. Each of them paid promptly and we thank them very much for supporting our club. We have had the posts deleted and have apologized privately and now publicly for the mix up. We have also purchased their winning lots for them. We strive as a club to do things right and with integrity, and correct things when we make a mistake. We are truly sorry to these 3 growers for having called them out, and hope the pumpkin community continues to trust our club.

Kudos to you for apologizing and clearing the air when a mistake was made. It is a hard thing to do That shows good character and integrity.

Solid move from your club. And its also good to know that our faith in the auction system we have is restored.

The sun is shining on bp.com today!

Good stuff PNWGPG! The last couple years more of my emails are going to my clients spam folders than ever before.... I'm not sure if it's the higher security on the cyber part of things or people just having bigger firewalls that is causing this?

It's very irritating. I'm glad all worked out and for all.

This is so wonderful to hear and everything came to a happy end. Ah yes the good ole "spam folder" you are not the first nor the last. Something all of us need to check more often.

The GPC newsletter is always in my spam folder, so it really helps when Cindy posts a message on here.

Mine is called a 'Junk Email' folder, and as I recall, I like Spam in a sandwich. It's a shame that NOT checking it results in accusations and egg on all's faces.
It is right there all day and any company will say in the their proceedings to be sure to check it. Maybe in the future I or somebody can say 'Did you check your...???'
I'd have no problem asking it, lol---Glad that it worked out. eg

That was a rhetorical remark, to all, not this particular club and you had already done a tremendous make-up effort. I'd be here 23 minutes softening it up if I could, lol---eric g

Big moon said it well… the post above shows good character and integrity. All is well that ends well. You have my appreciation and respect for publicly clearing the air. Thank you.

Sadly, I missed the first post. This could have been quickly resolved if I had seen it.

I cringed when I saw the initial call out message, the wording was atrocious! Whatever happened to "user" please contact me regarding your auction bid"? Absolutely not handled well on the front end but so good to see the fix on the back end. That's pretty awesome that the club paid for the lots, that speaks to the integrity and honesty of the club and those that run it!

Glad you were able to get this figured out. That spam folder will usually have a couple emails from winning bidders in it every auction. Nice apology and nice gesture by the club as well.
