Mari Lou and I would like to thank the thousands of giant pumpkin growers and organic gardeners who have supported us over the years. We have been blessed to serve you. Operating first as "Green Earth Organics" and later as Holland's Land O' Giants, we have distributed over 500 tons of fertilizers and supplies. It wouldn't have been possible without growers like you. We are pleased in the knowledge that we have over 15,000 videos and DVDs out there which hopefully will help mentor new growers for years to come. Some are being used in school Ag. programs and in libraries as well.
The new owners are Brooke and Jon. They are a Young couple in Seattle and are giant pumpkin growers! They have great ideas to make the business even bigger and better. Mari & I will still be involved as consultants. I will supply seeds for the new owners and continue to produce new DVDs. I also will help with fertilizer formulation and new products. They will be keeping the business name hollandsgiants.com the same. Look for changes on the website. They plan to offer a special price on my 2023 seeds as a set: 1702 (2365.5 Wolf x 1937 Holland) 1728 (2560 Gienger x 2168 Werner) 1798.5 (2168 Werner x 2560 Gienger) 1824 ( 1937 Holland x 2365.5 Wolf) & 1427 (2493 Werner x 1937 Holland). Brooke & Jon will also have our 2023 DVD which has coverage of World Champion Travis Gienger at HMB plus the segment I am most pleaed with, a tribute to the late, great Don & Geneva Emmons. We revisit the Day in 2001 when they set a new World Record. They were two of the finest people you could hope to meet. If we had grown pumpkins for over 50 years and the only thing that ever came of it was to meet Don & Geneva, it would have been time well spent.
Thanks again, Joel & Mari Lou

Congatulations Joel and Mary Lou, you guys have been a huge backbone of this pumpkin game for the longest time. My first recollection that I can come up with seems like 8 or 900 pounders at the Nut Tree here in California back in the late 1980s (amazinga at the time),and all the Half Moon Bay honors you've held, your 2363, and all the seeds and videos that have nourished growers with over the years. Have a happy semi retirement and good luck to the young couple taking over the business. Best regards, Randy

Congratulations Joel, Mary Lou and family. Your long time passion, dedication, growing world class pumpkins and helping new aspiring growers will be very hard to match and never forgotten. Two memories that immediately come to mind are your 1992 WR 827 pumpkin and a giant pumpkin you grew in 2001, which was eventually sculpted to pay tribute to the first responders of 9/11. So well done and touching thank you. Best wishes to your new owners. Keep on going and growing. Danny, family and the Dill Farm.
