Thank you guys so so much for all the kind words! Holy smokes, what a whirlwind of excitement! I don't believe in pre weighing so it was a bit of a suprise to me. We knew it was a brick but what I didn't know was with the hollowness on the back side how much that would hurt.

Thanks to all the growers who have paved the way for all these pumpkins and to the growers who have pushed the hobby this far. The keyword yesterday was family, and it's no different today! We are all one big pumpkin growing family working towards greater goals. We do this to put smiles on people's faces but like I said to the reporter when I got off stage, today I put one on mine!

Pretty cool day all around, Leonardo's pumpkin to California record, seeing that crazy guy from Spain yes Ruben you are so amazing! Think when I said bye to Steve Daletas we both had tears in eyes.


Lastly huge thanks to Matt Winey for the seed, dude you gave me a shot and I tried my best! Suprising part is I'm about 99% sure the other 2365 we grew would have made this one look like a shrimp! This seed and the reverse will both be very capable of 3000 pounds.

Thanks to everyone and best of luck at the rest of the weighoffs! Go get them!

I couldn't see the records of my friends Stefano and Matthias, but what I lived seeing yours I will never forget, I will remember it all my life Travis. By the way, a very big hug for your father, I think he was the one I enjoyed the most that day, and by far. What a great man!! Half Moon Bay, was the culmination after a few days living with friends in Napa, we have already arrived in Spain, and looking forward to returning in 2024
