Murphy's Law

I seen a large pumpkin that was on display in January a few years back. What steps had to be taken to do so or was it just 1 in a million?

What about ideal temps for prolonging the pumpkin longevity? I know freezing temps should be avoided but what is the lowest you can go before uh-oh! This is for the Northeast region weather.

Any frost can damage their skin, if its open & exposed. But if they are well covered, then you can probably drop into the 20's and theyll still be ok. If temps drop much below the mid to upper 20s, then theyll be frozen solid, like everything else.
