last year they lost all their big ones and still got within spitting distance of the world record with their 2656.
This year they have still have an 1885 going that is at 1748 pounds on Day 60 and growing 36 pounds per day. last year their 2656 was at 1918 pounds on day 60 but only growing 21 pounds per day. With that difference in growth rate, by Day 70 they could be pretty close to the same size that their 2656 was on day 70 (2030 pounds). They will need to be at the top of their game for sustaining growth and they will need to go heavy to chart, but I wouldn't be surprised to see that fruit get in the ball park of a world record.

Their 2365 is in at 1979 on Day 70 and growing 16 pounds per day. Their 2656 was at 2020 on day 10 and growing 11.2 per day and was at 2122 pounds on Day 80. they would need to do 14.3 pounds a day over the next 10 to catch it.

I am still holding out hope for a world record for the Patons.

If it goes 17% Heavy like Andy's 2493 did last year it would already be over 2300 pounds.

Nice pumpkins. To be (nearly) at 2k already is amazing! I want grow one of their seeds someday! (I realize it takes more than just a good seed though to get those results.)
