In general a hypothetical question... If everything was done right and to the best ability. How big could a Big Max Pumpkin grow?

I grew big max for years before I got the good competition AG seed. The big max seed genetics from most companies produces much smaller pumpkins than it used to in the 1980's. I would be really impressed if someone got one up to 150. The genetics are compromised and don't have much growing power in todays modern big max seeds. Now if you had burpee prizewinner I know those can go 200-300.

And I am sorry but to answer your question Jordan hit it right on the head. I've grown 50lbers out of a 5 gal bucket and they are dark red in color. Might want to check to see if somebody crossed a big mac with a ag

Same here, big max grew 50-75 lbs and the biggest prizewinner we’ve had is 395 lbs. We are growing 2 prizewinners plants this year also.
