Barring some change in the forcast it looks like we are headed into the most severe drought in decades?

(this shows cold water off the west coast which may explain our strangely unsoggy weather)

There is a bit of science in China linking droughts to large volcanic eruptions 2-4 years out from volcanic eruptions.
I know we arent the only place that is looking ominously dry. Wherever you are, I'd be on the lookout for particularly dry conditions this year.
Note that the Hunga Tonga eruption was 2.5 years ago. I think its fair to blame that eruption, to some extent?

I think the west coast/ Washington should prep. for a very dry year.

We are very dry here for this time of year. I hope we don't have a repeat of last year.

Seeing end of May dust storms already in the mid west is not a terrifically good sign of things to come. Corn is up but
Drought is building in the Great lakes region. Buy up all the hay you can now cuz this year will be sparse if at all.

In southern California we LOVE EL NINO! It brings us the rain we need to sustain all the water we use.

Even though we just had one of the wettest winters on record this year,,,, bring on another!! Back to back wet winters would be unheard of this far south!

There're calling for a " SUPER EL NINO " and the water is already 2 degrees warmer on the equator then it was this time last year. This is a great sign meaning El Nino is very possible!:)

We've haven't been this dry since 1960. No measurable rain in May or June yet and none forecast. Very low humidity too. It's interesting that the fields of cattle corn surrounding my place are getting along and haven't had a drop of water since they were planted several week ago. They must have added the camel gene to that stuff. It'll be interesting to see how long it can go without water.

Bad drought here, looks like it could be a repeat of 2012.

BravoV2, I was saying the same thing yesterday. My tape will arrive this week. Got everything ready to plug an play. I had to overhead water this morning. No rains not good for crops, but it's good to be able to control the amount of water that goes on.

Yeah here in Indiana the rain has missed most of the state including us for the last several weeks. The feed corn here is probably drought resistant. It was planted and germinated with zero rain and it's catching up to my sweet corn stalks.

Steve, ditto on the corn. The corn in the fields surrounding my place seems to be doing ok. It's pretty amazing that it just keeps on going. I'm depending on it to break the wind a little so I hope it endures.
