Hey guys. I have a question. So, if you are looking at your plan and the first the leaf is in the back the second true leaf is facing you (direction Main will go) which side is the third leaf supposed to come out left or right or does it not matter. Call me crazy I feel like the third leaf should be coming out to the left this year both plants seems third leaf is coming out to the right? I went back in my old posts and the third leaf always came out to the left. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks everyone

I don't think it matters, as far as I can tell - there is no guarantee that each leaf is gonna go according to 'our plan(t)', lol---I'd suppose that as long as the car is on the track pointed toward the finish line, it'll get there even with a little fishtailing. I hope this helps and glad I had a couple o' pics to reference of my own. Later---eric g

Take a picture of the current plant and see if it’s possibly your camera’s lens reversing the photo?

I wouldn’t worry too much about it. You can get the plant to grow in any direction you want with a bit of TLC.

Depends how the vine is rotated, varies based on lots of factors. As the vine is setting down, it usually is not oriented properly. But as it touches down and starts to grow, the leaf stalks straighten it out. This can result in the first two secondaries coming out on the same side because the main is twisted just enough to make it grow on the wrong side.
