Do squash count in the same catagory as pumpkins at all PNWGPG weighoffs?

Squash and 'Kins - It is up to the site. Some will roll squash and kins together in one payout list, some won't. If they don't, we try to get them to at least award some cash for the top squash or the club will kick in something. We will try to announce the details as far in advance as possible.

Rumor has it, there's this retired man living up that way growing pumpkins bigger then that region has ever seen!

Even growing fruit much bigger then the legend Mr. Van Kooten?

Would love to have "him" come to one of our weigh offs! Personally I wish all weigh off sites recognized squash and pumpkins in the same category, I love those monster greenies!

True beyond belief - I know that if I didn't have a built-in belief that squash are less popular, less weighty, less cash-making and less useful until I asked about them on here about a year ago, I'd have been growing them all along. I love the green as much as the orange and I am hoping to get a foot in the door of that prospect over the next few months.
'Grow Green or Grow Orange!' Err, whatever the sayin' is now, lol---eg

orange lagged the ugly"in the eye of the beholder"
for many years...i think orange has caught up.

The green is still behind...can it catch up...i think so

I am growing for the green for the first time this year

come to think of it...I just might have a potential blue giant seed somewhere...thanks cecil
