What bulbs do you use in your grow lights?

I use a 4 foot fluorescent fixture with 2 bulbs. I like to use one wide spectrum bulb and one sun-stick bulb (full spectrum).

48" T5 for me. But you can use T12 but T8 are better but they still can get leggy. I don't have that problem any more after switching to T5's. Blue fluorescent tubes are for growing, the reds are for blooming and are not necessary.
Led grow lights I hear are even better but are expensive.
You may even have a reading lamp with the new full spectrum bulb they will work great for one plant. Here a link to show the bulb.

Cheap, full spectrum fluorescent bulbs on aluminum base from Lowes. My plants average around 7 days under them (a year), so no need for me to get expensive.

I use 2 48 inch cool white florecent bulbs. I keep the plants 2 inche from them 24 hours a day. The warmer it gets outside I put them out to get natural sun and to help harden them off for transplanting them in the hoophouses. Then a good doe of neptunes harvest that has been heated usually does the trick. I do believe you need to most certainly give them natural light and slowly hardening them off by giving them a bit of stress. Also keeping a fan om them during this proces helps to give the te. Some strength.

If your using fluorescent bulbs you can overdrive them for some extra lumens. Shortens bulb life some but when life is measured in 1000s of ours it makes little difference. I did it to mine and has helped immensely. Don't worry a lot about grow spectrum bulbs because the plants spend so little time under them it won't matter. Cool white works very well for me.
