just noticed that my 1566 has 3 cott leaves, i have never run into this problem? should i grow it out, or start another??? thanks so much, scott......

I did a search for "3 cot" and found a bunch of stuff. Most indicated future problems like the one below.

3 cots has never been good for me..grow it out and see what the main vine looks like. The Cots are like the yolk of an egg..energy for the plant until it starts producing it own food

the diary post that smallmouth_luke listed was from an 1199 werner. The 1566 Rodonis and 1199 werner share very similiar genetics. 1566 - 50% 1450 wallace,50% 998.6/1231 pukos. 1199 - 25% 1450 wallace, 75% 998.6/1231 pukos. Basically the 1199 is a crossed 1566/1161 x 998.6/1231 pukos. Because all the inbreeding of a few line, i am suspecting that mutants are going to become much more common.

Seems to me I had one like that and it flatvined. Let it grow and see what happens. I would start a backup seed if I had one. You can get more seeds, you cant get a year back.

about an hour after i posted the photo in my diary, the 1566 passed on, for some reason it just decided to fall over like it gave up! i think it overheard me talking about getting rid of it,lol. thanks so much everyone for your help, soaking another one, will hope for the best on this one,scott....
