Hi all,
Quick question I have is this. The cot s on 2 of my sprouts seem to have brown spots on the and they have me worried. Hopefully I'm worrying for nothin but does anyone know if this will be ok and what the heck would cause I???? Just wondering!!! Thanks, Erik

Also forgot to add that no ferts. Were used in the starter mix and the soil temp stayed a steady 86 to 87 degrees. Someone please alleviate my panic!!!! Erik

I had the same thing on one of mine,but it turned out fine.I think it was the start of some rotting when it was in the seed coat.not sure what its from but my guess is its from to much water in the soil,or the seed coat fails to come off right away and moisture is trapped in there.you should be fine.

At work today thinkin TOO far into it had me trippin. These seeds are my alpha dogs for this year and really want them to turn out good!! Gonna keep a close eye on them (like I'm not already lol)!! Thanks again!! Erik

I had brown ones on my 1101 Marshall and it is by far my best plant now. I'm with what P said, sounds like a moisture thing.

Yea I think you guys are right!! That's the only thing I can think of that I did when they were in the germ chamber. Dang it!! Well I feel better guys!!thanks!! Erik

Cots are just a food source, like a yolk for a chicken. They are important. But will wither off and die once the 1st leaves start forming.
