Okay. Was going to soak pumpkin seeds, and all of them floated. I remember hearing somewhere that dead seeds float? This correct? Sure hope not.

If its a 1725, 1385, or a 1068 and it floats take it out quick, dry it off and send it to me. I'm sure it must be bad.
Seriously, float test works on many nuts like acorns, chestnuts, and chinquapins but not on pumpkins.

In my experience all pumpkin seeds float. I use an icecube tray to soak the seeds and a beer bottle cap placed on top of the seed helps to keep it lightly submerged. I also find it a very easy to keep track of which seed is which with the ice cube tray method as each cube slot is numbered to correspond with the seed it contains

Who would have guessed that SS uses beer bottle caps to weigh down her seeds during the soaking process!!! Good Golly, Miss Molly...I cant wait to get back to Niagara!!! Peace, Wayne
