My first seedling came up and got leggy incredibly fast. I have a second that I got under lights in time to keep it more compact. I am leaning towards planting the more compact seedling, but I read an essay that said that if you plant the seedling deep, roots will sprout along the stem, making a better root system. I tried doing that with 3 or 4 seedlings and roots did not sprout from the stem. Has anyone else tried this with success? Or would you do what I am leaning towards, planting the more compact seedling?

This happens with tomatoes...Pumpkins are just plain leggy. A fan thurned on them will make them even stronger with close cool lighting.

I put mine outside right after they germinate. Less then a week later I plant them.

My 670 was a bit leggy this year and I just planted it as mentioned right up to the cot leaves. It will sprout leaves along the way.
