Looking for some suggestions on how to successfully germinate the 1370. I tried this seed twice unsuccessfully last spring and heard of others that had troubles. Would appreciate hearing from others that were able to germinate it and perhaps your methods with more difficult seeds to sprout, as I have one more kick at the can with this thanks to an extremely generous fellow grower and need it to come up for my own sanity ..LOL..Thanks... John

I filed mine, soaked in 50% distilled water 50% hydrogen peroxide for 8 hours using a air pump to bubble it. Put it in moist paper towel put it in a baggie and maintained 80 deg. I put my seeds above my refrigerator in a cabinet. This works great for me. Good luck. I hope it germinates for you and I hope mine does this year also.

filed, soaked in plain water for 3 hrs and put in soil on heat mat the past years, never had a problem.

well, if you go to this link of my '04 diary entries
you will see the beginning of my complete process for germination, pretty much.
i have sprouted everything i have needed to using my
Gerry Germ-Buck(s) and have had no problem-os EXCEPT for
a couple of seeds that are notorious for being hard to germinate: 920 Cole and 1140 Stelts.

aside from them, everything else pretty-much always comes-up
in 72 hours (3 days) from the moment of being placed in the
peat pots
(with Scotts Seed-Starting mix/
Bio-Grow Endo-Plus in it from Joel Holland/
SOIL temperature maintained at 90-93*F
by the Germ-Buck).
the 1370 Rose i grew my 912.5 from in '06 was no exception. in fact, the 1370 Rose was
trouble-free for me from start to finish. good luck with it!

Good Luck JC, you're fortunate to have another chance! I suffered the same fate as you last season...just a tough seed to germ I guess? Duff

Business wise, It was so crazy around here last year. I forgot I had my 1370 soaking. 36 hrs later I realized and planted it in a 4" peat pot @ 90 degrees. It germinated 12 hrs later. It grew my 746. = 1370 x 670
