Do you know the approximate pollination date of that? I think we waited to late and are trying to figure out the timing of pollination to correspond with weigh offs? I think we should have kept a few we cut off- whoops? I read somewhere @40-45 days so we kept a couple @ 7/20 but they're green and small lol!

It was 44 days old roughly when we picked it for the fair. We could have waited another 4-5 days but needed an entry. I have tried to time for weigh offs before and failed. Tomato plants can grow very fast in the heat or very very slow in Vermont cold. Probably for your area a mid to late May start should line you up.

Thanks John! So I was close? The one I'm bringing to Woodstock should be around 42 days old. I guess the pollination is when the plant gives you one. Not as easy as it seems...
