Can't wait to see the outcome! Their will be a few growers protecting their vines this season after what Dave did last year!
I'm doing fabric down the main and only cutting holes for the tap roots. Dry main means a happy main! Especially in my disease infested soil.

Bury in perlite, then in potting mix? The perlite I get is cheap but it also bothers my lungs. Hopefully this works, fun to try new things!

Thanks Ian. I'm pretty sure perlite increases photosynthesis by 15-20%.
