Those surprising frosts can cause a lot of damage. Years ago I had over 20 AG plants set out about same size as yours. We had a warning in early June, so covered all plants with buckets that were not in huts. Unfortunately it went down to -6C and froze all the plants like your previous pic, left them in ground hoping they would recover but eventually they got worse. Frost penetrated through stalks, tissues, etc. down to roots. Always pays to have back ups. Good luck!
