Its best to ask specific questions, vague or open-ended questions or questions lacking context are hard to answer and may not receive good answers. Also, a lot of top experienced growers will (probably wisely) stay away from questions that stir controversy. If your question doesnt get much response, it doesnt mean that the other growers are unfriendly or that they don't want to be helpful... Its more that the simple questions have already been answered, and the complicated ones stir up conflict.

Definitely soak up info when & where lots of good info is being offered up freely... Such as, here in Matt's diary.. Wow.

Little Ketchup- Many times for new growers the hardest question to ask is the first one. So, start somewhere and soon an hour will go by with a good grower before you know it;-)

An hour, yes true... Someone asked me recently "What does it take to grow a tomato like that". A good question that deserves an answer, but the best answer I could give to a question like that would be, "well, do you have an hour to talk?"

It takes more than two sentences... Thats what it takes.
