Congratulations on your first-year accomplishment. If you are trying to grow a nice pretty orange pumpkin, don't underestimate the seeds you have right there in your pumpkin. Although the genetics can be unpredictable, as you pointed out, the 1495 Stelts is a classic and the 1362 Lieber was a great looking pumpkin and a weighoff winner in Maine.

Thank you! I'm fulfilling a childhood dream right now. I didn't cross them with anything as of yet and my white pumpkin gave me a lot of viable seeds. I test sprouted a couple and they both popped so I'm excited to have sooooo many more chances. I also just found one more packet from a 629 Rondeau (1362 Lieber x 1495 Stelts). That means it was crossed the other way around, correct? They're 10 years old so I may just grow those to get fresher seeds. I don't have a lot of room to grow so I have a decision to make. I'd hate to lose these seeds to time.
