How many peppers are typically grown on a plant? Do you just keer culling until a person gets one that is growing reasonably straight? Any tips in your diary would be appreciated.

I think folks thin until 4 or 5 on a plant. For me this year, it was a case of - cutting off all fruit until 60 days before the competition. Then later trimming off all the twisted and bent ones. Later I took a cane that was slightly shorter than my longest, and used this as a guide - checking each chilli against it, and cutting any shorter than the guide. Let me with a selection of longest.
