            | dpriceute | Glen Allen, VA | This is my first year trying bushel gourds and it’s almost time for pollination. I have several females opening on the main vine but all of the info I read says to pollinate a pumpkin on secondary. What is the reasoning? Why wouldn’t we want a main vine pollination just like AGs?
Has anyone grown a good size BG on a main vine?

            | Team Wexler | Lexington, Ky | Two plants last year, five plants this year, none have had a fruit on the main.
I see no reason not to attempt such if the opportunity presents itself.

            | Tomislav | Croatia, EU | They grow on a secondaries in my case, once very close to main on a quite short secondary which looked like a stem, which was one of my biggest gourds actually.. | 7/17/2018 7:50:01 AM |

            | Tree Doctor | Mulino, Oregon | Both the sets I had on the main vines never developed. My best ones are on secondaries. | 8/1/2018 12:29:50 AM |
