So my question is do you guys feed any different then you would say a pumpkin or watermelon? Do you think the heavy gourds need more of something? or less of something?

How often do you water? Everyday? Every other day? Once a week?

I feed and water them less that Pumpkins. I water/fertilize my 800sq ft pumpkin plants with 50 gal/day through late July-early August.
And the Bushel Gourd only gets 30 Gal/800 sq ft every other day.
So the 200+ pound Bushel Gourd only gets 3/5's of what the 1800 pound Giant Pumpkin gets.
