Had to go away for three weeks for work thinking I would give some minerals to my field pumpkin patch when I came home. Instead the whole place is over run with weeds: docks, chickweeds, the lot! I can't believe it! Is there a suitable herbicide I can boom spray them with? They are just fruit setting, finishing up flowers now. Thanks in advance!

I have some fluoxypyr and triclopyr mix in a product called doxstar which will clean it right up but can't find any info on pumpkin application. At the moment just trying to use a strimmer/weedwhacker to beat them into submission and do as little damage as possible.

I would stay away from the herbicides, I have been there many times myself. The weedwhacker is a good option. Just keep trimming them back right at the leaf canopy.
