Im doing a u pick patch for my uncle this year, I was wondering if anyone had any helpful tips. Iv never done mass quantity of kins only giants so its all new to me. Im assuming you cant use merit for pumpkins that people may eat or whatever they do with them.

Youngbuck, I grow fields for jack-o-lantern sales in the fall. I use granular merit when I plant them which gets them through the early onslaught of cucumber beetles and squash bugs. I switch to Sevin later on before blossoms start since I do not want to kill my pollinating bees. Spray only in the late afternoon to reduce bee kill.
