            | agteacher | Princeville, IL | What do you big field pumpkin growers feel is the ideal plot size for a plant. In my commercial fields I use an 8 x 8 or 64 sq foot area but that is primarily so I can cross till with my five foot tiller and not as concerned with size. Used 200-250 sq ft for my big fields last year but wondering if bigger is better. Thinking of giving them 300 or more sq foot this year. --Joe | 12/20/2013 10:10:32 AM |

            | Team Wexler | Lexington, Ky | I'm not sure what the ideal plant size is but, I grew a PB this season on a 700 sq ft plant. I intended for 500 sq ft but was forced to let the plant grow until pollinations finally set. | 12/20/2013 2:09:05 PM |

            | afveteran | Deerfield, Michigan | I used about 700 sq ft. But this year let to many kins on one plant. I hope to do a better job next year culling those open pollinated ones off. I try and treat them just like the giant pumpkins but normally take a backseat to those in Aug/Sept. | 12/21/2013 3:53:32 PM |
