my daughter and i are growing giants for the first time this year. according to one of my sources, we should allow the pumkins to grow a bit, then decide which to keep. can i cut the competing pumkins off of the vine without bleeding out the plant? They are past the pollination stage and are currently growing. we have two that are right next to eachother and one that is growing on the opposite side. i am pinching off all other flowers, but i just dont know how to eliminate the others that have already formed pumpkins! please help!

Yes you can..The plant is not going to bleed out. Use caution though if you cut 3 or 4 off you can send to much to your keeper and it splits or blows up.

Cut them with a sharp knife..
