            | Engel's Great Pumpkins and Carvings | Menomonie, WI ([email protected]) | OK I am not doubting any one here..just trying to get more info. I have grown thousands of field pumpkins, and know what field pumpkins look like bith the plants and fruit. My 57 Shymansky(162 x self) has a lot of marrow traits. Has anyone else noticed this in their fruit? | 7/1/2012 9:03:19 PM |

            | John Cabot Trail | Nova Scotia | I can't speak for the grandparents or further beyond that but to clarify the 162 cross there was no marrow plants. I had three FP plants growing, 81 Wolf, 145 and 142 McInnis. The pollinating was contained with males and females protected the night before and after. I think I heard the 81 Wolf has a tendency to throw some long FP's as the J 162 was very long. Perhaps your answer is to follow the 81 linegae. Best of luck. | 7/2/2012 2:24:49 PM |
