            | Engel's Great Pumpkins and Carvings | Menomonie, WI ([email protected]) | Some people suggest later...I am doing a test. I am growing one 57 Shymanski just like an AG which was started April 25, and was pollinated this morning. I have 6 other Giant Field Pumpkins that were started Memorial Day weekend. | 6/28/2012 10:14:19 AM |

            | cojoe | Colorado | I'm trying to wait till mid july on my 4 plants.By then the fruit will be 20 some feet out and the plants will have run out of space.I'm going to have to go earlier on a couple of them.I doubt theyll make it till contest time with the warm season were having. | 6/28/2012 2:15:19 PM |

            | Greenhouse Grower | Madison,Wisconsin | Does the GPC have an early weigh in for field pumpkins like they do for tomatoes? | 6/28/2012 3:12:40 PM |

            | Andy W | Western NY | nope.
Field pumpkins have better shelf life than tomatoes, but you will likely lose a bit of weight. I'm shooting for a late july pollination myself.
