iam just trying to get a idea what other people are growing this season,, and maybe i can score some tall seeds for 2013 season,,,,my tallest was 12ft supposed to come from 16ft stock,,,

This year I had single head and multi-head varieties, both topped out at 14 Feet.

Got one still going, unofficially 15' from last seasons Burpee Russian Mammoth variety. All the rest were 10-12' WR is 26'+...yikes! If she comes back from the local Fair intact, I would be more than willing to share some seeds...haven't been close to the head for some time now so I can't comment on seed count or condition...LOL!

duff u have a 26 footer? if the birds dont get them ill take some seeds, do you use the bucket method ?

I have yet to measure my tall sunflower. They don't have a catagory for the tallest at the Elk Grove Giant Pumpkin Weigh off. I think My plant is at least 16 foot. I'll be happy to share seeds. Just email me. [email protected]

so to get a 21 footer did you grow it against a house? and tie it down to put energy into growing it tall?
