            | mshy | Nekoosa, Wisconsin | What varieties of sunflowers are people planting for large heads? I planted a bunch of different kinds just to see what they can do. Sunzilla, Titan, Mongolian, Diane's strain, and some misc I can't remember. | 6/14/2011 9:37:16 AM |

            | mshy | Nekoosa, Wisconsin | The Sunzilla’s I grew 2 years ago produced heads between 20” and 27.5”. I was very disappointed last year when the 27.5 seeds produced plants with multiple small heads. It must have pollinated with some wild sunflowers growing in the area. I am going to bag the heads this year. | 6/15/2011 11:26:33 AM |

            | Peace, Wayne | Owensboro, Ky. | mshy, where do you get Sunzilla's? Peace, Wayne | 6/15/2011 10:49:26 PM |

            | mshy | Nekoosa, Wisconsin | A woman was selling some on Ebay. It turned out not be be the actual hybrid but an F2 of Sunzilla. She grew out a field of Sunzilla's and saved seeds from them. They have the original at Renee's Garden I think. Tom Heaton is the breeder. | 6/16/2011 4:30:42 PM |
