I know some like to let them dry out before they water and some like to keep an even watering style. What is your flavor for giving your big ones a drink. I guess I am somewhere in between.

Consistent timing with the watering,mine is on a cheap digital hose timer. It all depends on your soil though!

I water once every 3 days for 20min. I also use a hose timer. When I was growing eating tomatoes it was once a day for 10 min. I adjusted the watering for the domingos by watching the plants. If you stick your finger in your soil and its wet (muddy) but your plants are not growing its probably too wet. Don't try to water your tomatoes like you do your AG. Your tomato plant will tell you when it needs water as it will start to wilt a little. If you know about how long it is between watering and when it just barely starting to droop you will know how often to water. You will need to water it half a day to a day before it starts to droop.

Let em get dry until the lower third of the plant starts to turn brown , then Water the piss outta um.

^ I think that stress is probably good for getting the blast of reproductive (fruit) hormones going in them? But I'd get BER if I did that! I think I'd have to improve my soil and soil biology a lot to be able to do this method.

You're a way better grower than me porkchop. I'll keep trying your method! So far my soil (or maybe its my 6.0 ph irrigation water) isn't performing anywhere near that well yet. Except a couple rare occasions where I sort of got things right.
