My teammate has a possible mega tomato. Would like some input from seasoned growers if you all think it is 1 or 2 tomatoes. Wishing her the best in this decision. She has posted a video on YouTube so I thought I would share it here. Thanks https://youtu.be/g7Xp79MnzFI

Interesting. If some flesh broke between the tomatoes it was one. If it only broken where its going into the stem then it's two separate tomatoes who shared a stem.

It looked flesh fused maybe from pressure only in my opinion. can ya get two tomatoes on one stem not fused?

I looks like 2 tomatoes to me. I get many like this from megablooms. I will usually pick them off early and hope for another mega to grow when the plant is still young.

Tried to take a look, but perhaps video settings have changed - I get ‘this video is private’. Hope responses of others who saw helped tho!

I would say 2 tomatoes as well. Awesome fruit though. Congrats!

I feel if it has a single stem, it's a single tomato. I've seen the pictures and the video, it was definitely fused until she was told to 'twist' it. I definitely think the GPC needs to reconsider a 'legal' tomato if it comes off of a single stem!

I also agree on the single tomato. From what I've seen anyway.

I´m not able to see the video. Maybe it´s because Doug and me are Europeans ;-) But I´ve seen pictures on FB and saw the stem must have been splitted really early, if it is one tomato. Without different profs, I would say they are two.
